Feedchar® – Natural Mineral Charcoal for Horses & Farm Animals
Healthy animals. Healthy soils. Healthier farms.
Feedchar® is a premium Australian-made mineral charcoal supplement designed to support digestive health, condition and wellbeing in horses and livestock. Manufactured in Tasmania by Agspand Pty Ltd, Feedchar combines feed-safe organic charcoal with natural mineral clay—ingredients that grazing animals naturally seek in the wild to help maintain a healthy digestive system. It is also a Certified Allowed Input for Organic Farming (SXC 19091).
Unlike many digestive supplements, Feedchar doesn't stop working once it leaves the animal. The stable carbon remaining in manure continues to benefit the soil, helping support soil biology, nutrient cycling and productive pasture growth.
Why choose Feedchar?
✔ Supports a healthy digestive system
✔ May assist animals affected by naturally occurring plant toxins, endophytes and mycotoxins
✔ Supports gut microbial balance and digestive comfort
✔ Virtually tasteless and odourless
✔ Can be mixed with feed or offered free-choice
✔ Suitable for horses, cattle, sheep, goats, alpacas, pigs, poultry and many other farm animals
✔ Australian Made and Manufactured in Tasmania
✔ Certified for Organic Farming (SXC 19091)
From Gut to Ground
Feedchar offers benefits beyond the animal.
After passing naturally through the digestive system, the charcoal becomes part of the manure where it contributes valuable stable carbon back into the soil.
Healthy manure supports:
• Beneficial soil microorganisms
• Improved soil biology
• Greater nutrient and water retention
• Healthier, more resilient pasture
It's a simple way to support the natural cycle:
Healthy Animals → Healthy Manure → Healthy Soil → Healthy Pasture
How to Use
Feedchar is extremely easy to use.
Mix into feed
Simply mix the recommended amount into your animal's normal feed.
Because Feedchar is virtually tasteless and odourless, most animals readily accept it.
Offer as a Loose Lick
For cattle, sheep, goats and mixed livestock, Feedchar can also be offered in a dry trough or covered container where animals can help themselves as required.
It can also be mixed with other mineral supplements where appropriate.
Suggested Maintenance Feeding Guide

Ponies & Foals
• Up to 15 mL daily
