Who we are

Welcome to Tasman Feed & Forage!

We are a small feed store - With a big heart!

Hi, I'm Marie, founder of Tasman Feed & Forage.

Behind this business is a journey that spans continents, careers, and a lifelong passion for animals and community.

Originally from Denmark, I began my career in the Danish Army, serving as a Sergeant. After completing my military service, I transitioned into civilian life, earning a Master's degree in Nursing and working as a nurse across Europe, including three remarkable years in Greenland. I later returned to the Danish Army as a Teaching Trauma Nurse, combining my clinical expertise with military service. During my career, I was deployed to Afghanistan and proudly served a total of seven years in the Danish Armed Forces.

In 2017, I started a new chapter by moving to the beautiful Tasman Peninsula in Tasmania, Australia. I was drawn to the region's stunning landscapes, welcoming people, and strong rural community. It quickly became home.

In January 2025, I launched Tasman Feed & Forage, bringing the same dedication, care, and commitment that guided my military and nursing careers into a new purpose: supporting animals, farmers, and our local community.

Today, I proudly supply high-quality Tasmanian-produced livestock feed at competitive prices that help local animal owners save both time and money. While I don't operate a traditional storefront, I offer affordable delivery throughout the Tasman Peninsula on daily basis, making it easier than ever to access quality feed when you need it.

Whether you care for horses, cattle, sheep, goats, poultry, or other livestock, you can rely on fresh, locally sourced feed and friendly, personal service.

Convenient, Local, and Community-Focused

Based right here on the Tasman Peninsula, my goal is to make feeding your animals as simple and convenient as possible.

No more unnecessary trips into town. With affordable delivery and a convenient Click & Collect service, you can spend less time on logistics and more time doing what matters most — caring for your animals.

My mission is simple:

  • Provide high-quality livestock feed at fair prices

  • Support local Tasmanian producers and farmers

  • Save customers time, money, and effort

  • Strengthen the local community through reliable service

Our Values

At Tasman Feed & Forage, we're more than just a feed supplier. Everything we do is guided by a commitment to animals, community, and sustainability.

Animal Care First

Your animals deserve the very best. That's why I carefully source quality, nutritious feed designed to support their health, wellbeing, and performance. Animal care is at the heart of everything I do.

Supporting Local Farmers

I proudly source feed from Tasmanian producers whenever possible. Choosing local means fresher products, reduced transport emissions, and direct support for the hardworking farmers who help sustain our region.

Strengthening Our Community

As a locally owned business, I'm committed to supporting the Tasman Peninsula community. By offering affordable feed and convenient service, I aim to help local families, hobby farmers, and producers save time and reduce costs.

Sustainability and Responsibility

Caring for our environment is an important part of how I do business. By promoting Tasmanian-grown products, supporting local supply chains, and reducing unnecessary transport, I contribute to a more sustainable and circular economy.

I also strive to minimise waste by reducing unnecessary packaging and encouraging customers to choose email receipts wherever possible.

Together, we can help protect the beautiful region we call home.

Thank You

Thank you for taking the time to learn about Tasman Feed & Forage.

I look forward to meeting you and your animals and helping make feeding them easier, more affordable, and more sustainable.

How I get Involved and Support the local Wildlife and Animals

At Tasman Feed & Forage, supporting local wildlife and animals is at the heart of what we do. We believe in giving back to the community that surrounds us, both human and animal alike.

We contribute through donated feed, offer discount codes to carers and rescue groups, and lend a helping hand wherever it’s needed. This can be anything from assisting with injured wildlife to feeding animals when their owners or carers need a break or extra support.

We’re incredibly fortunate to have some truly inspiring “Sheroes” here on the Tasman Peninsula—people who have dedicated their lives to caring for and protecting our local wildlife.

Their passion and commitment make a real difference, and we’re proud to support them in any way we can.

If you’d like to support any of the carers, groups, or sanctuaries we work with, please feel free to reach out. We’re always happy to help arrange a feed donation or connect you with those making a difference.
